I found the edutopia article on creating classroom culture to be very interesting. I have started asking my students "what questions do you have" vs "does anyone have any questions", and have noticed much more participation from my students. Just the simple rephrasing, something I had never given much thought to, has allowed me to clear up many misconceptions at once. Creating a positive culture is so hard to do in classes, but it's nice to be reminded of simple changes we can make, that do in fact make a big difference.
