How did the resources, prompts and discussion shape your thinking, encourage change, or validate what you were already doing in your classroom?

Fisher Talks-September
The resources provided (articles, videos, etc) continue to stress to me how important it is to have a positive culture in our classrooms. Because related arts teachers often have students more multiple years, I feel that is is critical to the success of our students that they feel that have a safe, fair yet extremely structured way to learn and to express themselves. We've been doing a fun activity of "Two truths and a lie" on notecards and we read a few a day. It takes about 10 minutes of class time but the things that we are learning from our students is invaluable. Plus it gives us a few great laughs along the way.

It's so easy to trail off with our focus on relationships as the year proceeds. I love that you continue to dedicate class time to building relationships and community in your classroom!
